Storm Henk Fence Repairs and Installations

Sheridan fencing - Dave Relf

Introduction
After Storm Henk hit on January 2, 2024, causing widespread damage to fences in southern and central England and Wales, Sheridan Fencing, led by me Dave Relf, undertook essential repair work. Here's a summary of the projects we tackled.

Some Highlights of a few of the many fence repairs and Installations

Cliffe Woods: fencing and Gate Installations

  • Replaced an 8x8 field gate post and restored a fallen back fence by replacing all posts on a close board fence.
we efficiently replaced an 8x8 field gate's post, addressing the fallen
back fence by replacing all closeboard fence posts and adding wooden
spurs to stabilize wobbly ones. This comprehensive approach ensured both
the gate and the entire fencing system were back in optimal condition

Gillingham: Panel replacements (fencing panels)

  • Replaced two storm-damaged 5ft panels, ensuring a precise fit.
In Gillingham, our team continued their adept fencing work by replacing
two 5ft panels. The unique challenge here was the need to custom-cut
both panels to ensure a precise fit.

Hoo: concrete post and fence installers

  • Swiftly restored a disarrayed fence, including 6x6 overlap panels and 3x3 wooden posts, fortifying it with concrete posts for future resilience.

Heading over to Hoo, we encountered a customer with a fence in
disarray—composed of 6x6 overlap panels and 3x3 wooden posts. Rather
than opting for a complete overhaul, we embraced an eco-friendly
approach. Reusing the existing panels, we replaced the wooden posts with
robust concrete ones, ensuring not just a prompt fix but also creating a
sturdier fence prepared for the next bout of winds in the Medway
region.

Bearsted: Featheredge panels Installations

In Bearsted, catering to a new customer, we embarked on a project that involved installing three concrete spurs, along with two closeboard panels. To enhance stability, a 4x4 wooden post was strategically placed between the panels. Our approach aimed at delivering a durable and aesthetically pleasing fencing solution for our new Bearsted client.

Bearsted: wood fence and fence top trellis contractors

  • Revisited an old customer, replacing three 4x4 wooden posts on a 7ft high fence with privacy trellis.
Remaining in Bearsted for valued returning customers, we undertook the
replacement of three 4x4 wooden posts. The task presented a challenge
due to the fence's towering height of 7ft, coupled with the presence of fence top privacy trellis. Despite the complexity, our team navigated this
intricacy with precision, ensuring a successful and seamless restoration
for our loyal Bearsted clientele.

  • Used gravelboard brackets creatively to install concrete gravel boards to new 4x4 wooden posts, revitalizing decorative panels.
In Wainscott's fencing repair, we harnessed the versatility of gravelboard brackets to great effect. The project involved installing concrete gravel boards to accompany three new 4x4 wooden posts. Taking a sustainable approach, we repurposed the old decorative panels, ensuring both durability and a touch of aesthetic continuity

Strood: Garden fencing installers

  • Replaced old panels with a set of 5ft waney panels and a 6ft panel for a transformative effect.
In Strood, we had the pleasure of working with new customers, providing a
fresh touch to their fencing. We replaced the aging garden panels with a set
of five overall panels, including four 5ft Waney panels and one 6ft
panel. Our attention to detail was evident as we custom-cut one of the
5ft panels to ensure a perfect fit for the garden fencing.

Rainham: fencing panels near me

  • Restored a fallen post and two panels, ensuring they were fit for future challenges.
Our journey then took us to Rainham for a post-replacement job. Two
panels and one post had been blown down, with the panels needing a bit
of tender loving care. Fortunately, they were overall in good condition.
We dug and replaced the fallen post and seamlessly reinstalled the old
fencing panels, ensuring a swift yet meticulous restoration for our Rainham
customer.
